Metal smith Kate Scheid Combines the old and the new in her jewelry designs. She is Inspired by the jewelry techniques of ancient cultures, the modern forms of today and ordinary hardware store findings. By using a mixture of raw stones and repurposed materials Kate creates one of a kind pieces. 

Originating as her Fathers tool supply company, the name Scheid Industrial holds fond memories for the designer. As a youngster, Kate recalls exploring the endless aisles of the San Francisco based warehouse finding pliers and different little odds and ends to use in her beading hobby. While the old business is now closed, the name is carried on via Kate's creative metal work.
